Two pedestrians were hospitalized after being struck by a school bus in Bolton on Thursday morning. Ontario Provincial Police in Caledon were called to King Street East just after 8 a.m. The road was closed for several hours between John and James streets while police conducted their investigation. Peel Regional Paramedic Services say two females were injured in the incident. One was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, while the other was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries. Police tell CTV News 12 children were on board at the time of the crash along with the bus driver. Paramedics say children were not assessed at the scene. Morning commuters were asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes. King Street East between John Street and James Street fully reopened around 1:15 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
