The Brantford Police Service has charged a man who they believe was involved in a stabbing at a rooming house in the city. Police were searching for the 42-year-old man after the incident at a property on Dalhousie Street near Brock Street on July 26. Investigators said two men had been arguing at the rooming house before the suspect stabbed the victim and ran off before police arrived. The victim as taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. On Thursday, police announced an arrest had been made. They did not confirm what charges were laid, but the man was previously wanted for aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failure to comply with probation.
