Brantford man charged with sexual assaults, police believe there may be more victims

Brantford Police have arrested a man who they say committed a long list of sex crimes.

They also believe there may be more victims.

Police said a sexual assault investigation began in 2025, leading to the identification of multiple victims.

Zachary Steele, 35, is facing 15 charges in total: sexual assault of a victim under the age of 16, invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference, four counts of sexual assault, aggravated assault, two counts of sexual assault causing bodily harm, assault, forcible confinement, voyeurism, distribution of intimate images without consent and bestiality.

Police said Steele is involved in the Live Action Role Play community in Brantford and the online platform FetLife.com.

He is also known to use the following online aliases: SteeleEgg, Steel242, TheSteele, Bastardofsteele and Plotsteelr.

“The identity of the accused is being released as detectives believe there may be other victims who have yet to come forward,” a media release said.
