Approximately $10K in cocaine seized after Highway 401 crash: police

A crash on Highway 401 lead to drug trafficking charges for two people.

The Ontario Provincial Police were called to a single-vehicle collision involving wildlife near Blandford-Blenheim on Saturday around 4 a.m.

Officers searched the vehicle and seized approximately 120 grams of suspected cocaine with a street value of $10,000. The also found a scale, packaging and multiple cellphones.

One of the people in the vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A 33-year-old Guelph resident was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, obstructing a peace officer and failure to comply with a release order.

A 60-year-old from Mississauga was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
