The Brantford Police Service are trying to track down whoever is behind a theft from a restaurant. An officer went to the Grand River Ave. restaurant around 7 a.m. Thursday. They were told cash and alcoholic drinks had been stolen from an outdoor sea can, or shipping container, used by the business. On Thursday, a social media post by the Shack Bar Café shared details of the break-in. The Shack Bar Cafe runs out of a sea can. In an appeal to the public, owner Grant Schuma said two locks had been cut off the sea can and tequila and vodka had been taken. The suspect or suspects left the area in an older model, dark-coloured Honda Civic.
