A pedestrian was sent to the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle near the Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday evening and police are seeking witnesses to the collision. Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps says the collision happened on Huntmar Drive near Campeau Drive at approximately 6:20 p.m. The pedestrian, a 51-year-old woman, was taken to hospital where she remains in critical condition, Deschamps says. In a statement on Sunday morning, Ottawa police said they were seeking witnesses to the crash. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage of the incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service’s Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 2345.
