Four people were arrested, and a citizen was injured at a protest outside of a Montreal police station on Saturday. The protesters organized in response to several allegations of abuse of police power. A 30-year-old woman and two men (21 and 32) were arrested for assault on a police officer and a 41-year-old woman was arrested for interfering with the work of an officer. A 66-year-old man who was not involved in the protest was injured after being hit by a projectile, the Montreal police (SPVM) said on Sunday. His injuries are under investigation. Two SPVM officers at the station where the protest took place were suspended last week. One was accused of urinating on a homeless person while on duty. The demonstrators started outside of the police station and marched down Berri Street towards the metro. The protest ran from 3 p.m. to around 6:30 p.m.
