A man arrested in Edmonton on Monday has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of another man last week near Slave Lake. Officers from the Alberta RCMP’s major crimes unit arrested John Ricky Wade Laboucan on Monday in Alberta’s capital three days after the body of Kirk Grey, 39, was found near Highway 2 east of Slave Lake, Alberta RCMP said Tuesday in a media release. They were assisted by Alberta Sheriffs and the Edmonton police tactical team. Laboucan, 27, is in jail awaiting his next court appearance next Monday in High Prairie. Slave Lake is 210 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
