Thief sought in 2025 west Edmonton convenience store robbery

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man they say robbed a west Edmonton convenience store last year.

Shortly before 4 a.m. on Sept. 21, officers were called to a convenience store in the area of 69 Avenue and 172 Street regarding a robbery.

It was reported that a man went into the store and hit the clerk, demanding money from the register before fleeing on foot.

Police say the clerk wasn’t injured, nor was anyone else.

The man is described as being between 35 to 45 years old, standing six-foot with a slim build and no facial hair. He was captured on surveillance footage wearing a grey hoodie, black sunglasses, blue jeans, black gloves and black and white sneakers.
