Super-heavy load to delay traffic en route from Blackfalds to Fort McMurray

A super-heavy load moving only 65 km/hour is expected to delay traffic on highways in south-central and northern Alberta this week.

A motor control centre, which is built to house electric motor controllers and electrical equipment, is set to leave WorleyCord in Blackfalds, about 142 kilometres south of Edmonton, at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The 200,700 kilogram unit will end up in Fort McMurray by the end of the week.
