Police are looking to speak with Queen Elizabeth Park users from a May night when a male with a gunshot wound was found in the North Saskatchewan River Valley. Police say they were called around 10:35 p.m. on May 25 and found the victim on the riverbank near the south end of the Walterdale Bridge. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. “Given the time of year and longer daylight hours, we’re hopeful that Edmontonians enjoying Queen Elizabeth Park that day may recall seeing an injured male or overhearing an altercation,” said Det. Daniel Van Den Berg with the Edmonton Police Service’s (EPS) investigative response team in a press release Friday.
