Police arrest man, seize 1.3 kg of meth in central Alberta

RCMP crime reduction units in Innisfail and Red Deer completed a drug trafficking investigation Friday that resulted in the seizure of 1.3 kilograms of meth in Penhold, Alta.

Weapons and other items associated with drug trafficking were also seized along with cash and 120 grams of cocaine.

Mounties said they charged a 42-year-old man with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.

The man was released and is to appear in court on Oct. 30.
