New laser show lighting up Telus World of Science

A variety of laser shows are coming to light up the Telus World of Science in October and November.

The Laser Mania shows will take place in the Zeidler Dome. It has five laser projectors that will illuminate the dome with beams of light, while 4K projectors fill the skies with kaleidoscopic backgrounds.

“Laser shows are a full sensory spectacle. We blend laser imagery, animation, and abstract visuals in RGB format with full-dome effects like star fields, fractals, and tunnels, all synchronized to the music of the artists being showcased,” said Frank Florian, Senior Manager, Planetarium & Space Science at Telus World of Science Edmonton.

“It’s the only show of its kind in Alberta, and you really must see it in person to experience how it tantalizes the senses.”

The science centre says no two shows are the same. Some of the shows you can watch are Laser Queen, Laser Ozzfest Assault, Laser Taylor Swift, Laser Country and more.
