Man killed at west Edmonton construction site: EPS

A 57-year-old man is dead after a crash at a construction site in the west Edmonton neighbourhood of Edgemont.

A man is dead and police are investigating after an accident at a construction site in west Edmonton on Tuesday.

Police said a 55-year-old man was driving a skid-steer loader at a sidewalk development near Edgemont Link and Edgemont Boulevard when he reversed, hit and killed a 57-year-old man working with him.

Because the crash happened on a roadway, the Edmonton Police Service Major Collision Investigations Section (MCIS) is investigating alongside Alberta Occupational Health and Safety.

No other details have been released.
