If your itinerary ends at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport, you may find an added leg. Travellers ordering rideshares like Uber and Lyft are being directed to a new pick-up zone in the Leigh-Capreol area. The new zone began operating at the end of June. In a statement to CTV News, Aeroports de Montreal (ADM) says the new area “was specifically designed to provide additional capacity, more space for passengers and a configuration better suited to ride-hailing operations.” They say signs and staff have been added on site to help guide passengers the right way. While the walk to the new zone takes roughly five to 10 minutes, officials say they have added measures like cart service to help make the commute more accessible. “Travellers also continue to have access to several transportation options, including taxis, the STM’s 747 service and the new 815 route connecting YUL directly to the REM’s Des Sources station,” they say. ADM says roughly 400 Uber trips leave Montreal-Trudeau International Airport per hour. According to officials, average wait times have decreased in the last week. The airport notes that its taxi pick-up area has not changed and asks for travellers’ patience amid ongoing construction.
