A Lloydminster man has been charged with wilful promotion of hatred and weapons offences. Mounties executed a search warrant on Dec. 2 as part of an ongoing investigation into a man they say was making credible threats of violence toward identifiable groups of people, said a news release Monday. During the search, officers located and seized multiple firearms and evidence relevant to the investigation. As a result, a 38-year-old man has been charged with unauthorized possession of firearms, unsafe storage of firearms and wilful promotion of hatred. The man was released on conditions and is to appear in court on Jan. 12. The investigation is still ongoing.
