A Lloydminster man has been charged with sexual assault and Mounties are asking the public refrain from speculating about it. On Friday, RCMP said 42-year-old Tyler Kurtenbach was arrested after a search warrant was carried out at a Lloydminster home on Tuesday. Mounties said the home was searched after officers received a complaint of a sexual assault involving a minor the previous day. Kurtenbach was charged with one count of sexual assault and remanded into custody. He appeared in court on Wednesday. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Lloydminster RCMP. “The Alberta RCMP also reminds the public that criminal charges are allegations that must be proven in court,” the law enforcement agency said. “Members of the public are encouraged to refrain from speculation or commentary on social media regarding this matter, as all accused persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and ongoing judicial proceedings must be allowed to proceed fairly.”
