The Grande Prairie, Alta., RCMP Detachment has been renamed Clairmont RCMP Detachment. The change is effective immediately. As the City of Grande Prairie moves to its own police service, RCMP will continue to provide policing services to the communities of Clairmont, Sexsmith, Grovedale, Bezanson, Teepee Creek, Debolt, and Crooked Creek, as well as a large portion of Grande Prairie County and a smaller area within the MD of Greenview. Detachment boundaries remain unchanged and current phone numbers remain the same: The detachment building remains within the City of Grande Prairie at Suite 101 - 10605 West Side Drive.
