Fatigue may be factor in crash that closed a section of Anthony Henday Drive: police

Edmonton police are investigating a crash that closed two lanes on southwest Anthony Henday Drive Sunday morning.

Investigators say fatigue is being considered a factor in a single-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday morning, closing part of Anthony Henday Drive.

At approximately 6:45 a.m., a 22-year-old man driving a 2009 Pontiac Vibe was travelling southbound on the Henday when he drove into the center median and hit a light pole.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two southbound lanes of the Henday at Lessard Road were closed while police responded. Those lanes are now open.
