Edmonton weather: Warm through the weekend, then a chill settles in

Although Thursday will have a colder start, it'll still get above 0 C, according to Cory Edel's forecast.

The warm spell continues for a few more days, although today will be a bit cooler than Wednesday.

Temperatures hit a high of 5 C on Wednesday and we’re starting out this Thursday with temperatures in the -10 C range in Edmonton.

We should get a degree or two above 0 C this afternoon under mainly sunny skies.

Warmer air pushes in for Friday/Saturday as afternoon highs bounce in the 6 or 7 C range and overnight clouds should hold the morning lows up in the -2 C to -6 C range.

So...milder mornings and warmer afternoon for Friday/Saturday.

We’re still in the mild air Sunday...but that looks like it’ll be the end of it.

Colder, arctic air spills in for next week and daytime highs will be a few degrees below zero for Monday/Tuesday. THEN...into the -5 C to -10 C range for highs starting Wednesday and continuing through to the end of the month.

At this point, it looks like once that colder air settles in...it’ll stick around right through early December.

We’ve only had one colder-than-average day through the entire month of November up to this point. But, we’ll probably end the month with five or six consecutive days below average.

As for snow, there’s a chance of some flurries or light snow Monday and again later next week (maybe Thursday).

However, it doesn’t look like either of those chances will give us a significant heavy snowfall. It’s going to get colder next week, but it may not be a whole lot snowier.
