Olia is being recognized as one of the best new restaurants across the country by Air Canada.

The upscale Italian restaurant on Edmonton’s Jasper Avenue is one of 31 listed as a finalist.

“New fans abound with Olia’s leek and truffle arancini tanned like a week in Positano, saba-stained culatello, and panna cotta with cherries kissed by honey grappa,” the airline said in the restaurant’s write up.

DOPO and Bar Rocca in Calgary were also among the list.

“Air Canada’s best new restaurants reflect a deep commitment to uncovering the country’s most remarkable talent and connecting people with meals that linger beyond the last bite,” the airline’s website said.

“These are the places that serve food worth flying for.”

The top 10 will be announced on Nov. 17.
