One of Edmonton’s longest-operating towing, transport and recovery services has shut down all of its operations. On Monday, Cliffs Towing announced its permanent closure, effective that same day, on Facebook and its main website. “We want to thank our customers for supporting our business during the past 70 years,” said a brief statement from the business. Anyone who still has an impounded vehicle with the company can call 780-451-1555 or visit the south Edmonton location between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Impound fees will still apply, according to the website. CTV News Edmonton has reached out to Cliffs Towing for further information, but a voicemail confirms the business is not operational and inquiries about impounded cars or otherwise should be answered within 72 hours. Cliffs Towing is owned by tappCONNECT, an Edmonton transportation company which also oversees Greater Edmonton Taxi Service, Prestige Limousine and J&P Auto.
