A Calgary man has been found guilty in the death of 37-year-old Christopher Stevenson, who went missing back in 2023. Shaun Alexander Folk, 49, was convicted of second-degree murder on Monday. A second man, 48-year-old Ali El-Sayed, was convicted of accessory after the fact to murder. Stevenson was last seen entering a building on Sixth Avenue S.E. on Aug. 24, 2023. A month later, in September 2023, police revealed they believed Stevenson had been the victim of foul play. Folk faces an automatic life sentence, but his parole eligibility will still have to be determined. A date for sentencing submissions will be set on Nov. 13.
