Blue Jays fan from Edmonton wins $2M on 50/50 ticket

A Toronto Blue Jays fan from Edmonton has won more than $2 million on the Jays Care 50/50 jackpot.

The woman won $2,287,502 on Wednesday’s draw.

The win follows the expansion of the Jays Care 50/50 program into Alberta, giving fans in the province the opportunity to participate in the draws for the first time.

All proceeds from Jays Care 50/50 tickets sold in Alberta are invested to support local baseball development, which the Jays Care Foundation says reached more than 7,400 kids in 2025 as well as significant investments in community baseball infrastructure.
