Jersey Mike’s is expanding its franchise to new locations across Alberta. The sub shop and sandwich chain is set to open a new restaurant at 13320 137 Ave. NW in Edmonton on Nov. 19. It also plans to open locations in Fort Saskatchewan, St. Albert and Grande Prairie. Alberta’s first Jersey Mike’s location opened in Lethbridge at the end of October. St. Albert’s store will be at 835 St. Albert Trail. Fort Saskatchewan’s will open on 9310 Southfoot Dr. Although created in the United States, Jersey Mike’s already has 15 locations open in Ontario and three in Saskatchewan. Redberry, a Canadian restaurant operator, has been working with Jersey Mike’s since 2024 to open 300 locations across the country over the next decade. The company announced the grand opening and its subsequent fundraiser in a media release Wednesday. From Nov. 19 to Nov. 23, Edmonton’s Jersey Mike’s customers who get a fundraising coupon prior to the opening can make a $3 minimum contribution to Make-A-Wish Canada in exchange for a regular sub. Without a coupon, customers are still able to make a contribution to Make-A-Wish in-store as there will be a donation box at the register. In a similar fundraiser for Lethbridge’s grand opening, Jersey Mike’s raised $4,000 for the foundation.
