Three people were arrested after a northern Alberta Indigenous community was told to shelter on Tuesday. Mounties issued a warning to the residents of Atikameg around 11:40 p.m. At the time, they were searching for four males armed with firearms. The suspects had last been seen on Highway 750, near Nahachick Road. Police advised against travelling in the area and picking up hitchhikers. The shelter-in-place order ended sometime before 6 a.m. Wednesday. CTV News Edmonton has asked Alberta RCMP for more information. Atikameg is a part of Whitefish Lake First Nation.
