1 dead in head-on crash involving school bus south of Edmonton

One person was killed in a head-on crash involving a school bus on Thursday morning.

The crash at Highway 814 and Township Road 480 near Millet was reported to police at 7:54 a.m.

The body of a 70-year-old man from Sherwood Park, the sole occupant of the SUV involved in the crash, was found at the scene of the crash.

The other vehicle, a school bus, had four students and a driver on board.

No one from the bus reported any injuries.

While it’s early in the investigation, police say road conditions may have played a part in the crash.
