Full list of Sears Canada stores slated to close

CTV Montreal: Sears employees worry Trevor Gibbons, who has been with Sears Canada for 41 years, is worried about his severance and pension.

Sears Canada is moving to close all of its stores and liquidate its assets, as the dying retailer slashes thousands of jobs after failing to find a buyer.

The company announced plans on Tuesday to ask an Ontario court for permission to liquidate all of its stores and assets as early as October 19. The proposal would affect all stores not already in the midst of liquidation sales.

Sears had previously announced two rounds of closures, with liquidation sales already in full swing at those locations. Earlier closures affected 30 full-line locations, 16 Sears Home stores, 10 outlet stores and 14 Sears Hometown locations.
