Youth hit by vehicle in Evergreen intersection

A young pedestrian was struck Wednesday at an intersection in the southwest Calgary community of Evergreen.

The collision happened around 4 p.m. at Everwoods Road and Everhollow Way S.W.

Police said, and EMS later confirmed, the child was taken to the Alberta Children’s Hospital as a precaution after being hit by a vehicle.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
