Victim pepper sprayed during early morning fight

Police apprehend three persons of interest in relation to Saturday morning's fight

A fundraising party at a southeast hall came to a premature halt Saturday morning following reports of gunshots and pepper spray.

Police responded to the Forest Heights Community Centre, in the 600 block of Foritana Road Southeast, just before 1:00 a.m. to investigate a possible shooting.

Officers located a man suffering from the effects of being pepper sprayed but the victim was unwilling to cooperate with the investigation. Witnesses said the pepper spray was discharged during a fight.

Police scoured the area surrounding the community centre but did not locate any shell casings or property damage. Several persons of interest are being questioned in connection to the events of Saturday morning.
