Police in southeast Alberta say three people are facing charges after an early morning home invasion on Monday. The Medicine Hat Police Service says officers were called to a home on Ross Street S.E. just before 1 a.m. after being notified of a disturbance. Officers who arrived on the scene found a door to the home open and directed the occupants of the home to exit the building. They say six people complied and were taken into custody without incident. The investigation revealed three people had forced their way into the home and confronted the occupants with weapons. As a result, three people are facing several charges related to breaking and entering. No injuries were reported, and police say all people involved were known to each other.
