Expect it to be another hot day in Calgary on Thursday. It will be sunny in the morning, though clouds are expected to increase in the afternoon. There will be active weather in southern Alberta after 4 p.m., but there is a very small chance it will make its way into Calgary. The temperature will start to regulate on Friday with a high in the mid-20s with lots of sunshine. The city is expected to cool further by the weekend. Saturday night and Sunday afternoon also come with a decent chance of showers and the risk of thunderstorms. Here is a pretty photo of a thriving crab apple tree, taken by John McMahon in southeast Calgary’s Canyon Meadows neighbourhood.
