Stolen property seized from suspicious vehicle: Calgary police

Calgary police are seeking the public’s help in returning a variety of stolen property to its rightful owners after it was seized following a suspicious vehicle investigation. (CPS handout)

Calgary police hope to return a number of stolen items to their rightful owners after seizing them from a suspicious vehicle.

The items were found outside a mini school bus parked outside a southeast business.

Staff at the business had alerted police to the vehicle on Sept. 30, after noticing it sitting in the parking lot for several days.

Police say a “large quantity” of property was stacked in the rear of the vehicle.

Inside, they discovered two people, both of whom had outstanding warrants.

Police say one was also found to be in breach of their release conditions.

Officers took both people into custody.

A subsequent search of the bus resulted in the seizure of a small amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and several items believed to be stolen but not yet reported to police.

The recovered property included things like power tools, a drone, a radio and a vehicle code reader.
