The weather this weekend should be perfect to grab your motorbike—and maybe a teddy bear or two—and hit the open road. On Saturday, the Southern Alberta Bikers will host their annual Motorcycle Awareness and Teddy Bear Parade. The ride raises awareness about the return of motorcycles on the roads and collects teddy bears for the children’s ward at the Chinook Regional Hospital. “We want to see bikes everywhere,” the Southern Alberta Bikers posted on Facebook earlier this week. “Bring a stuffed animal to donate to the children’s ward at Chinook Regional Hospital and show what this riding community is all about.” The post said, “All bikes welcome. All riders welcome.” Breakfast at Honkers Pub starts at 8 a.m. The parade runs at 10 a.m. and will wind its way through the city, eventually making its way to the hospital. Donations can also be dropped off at Honkers Pub. In another Facebook post, the Southern Alberta Bikers said, “Our mission? Delivering smiles to kids at the hospital one teddy bear at a time.”
