Man charged in violent Erin Woods break-and-enter: Calgary police

A Calgary man has been charged in connection with a violent break-in in the community of Erin Woods last month.

It’s alleged the accused broke into a home in the 0-100 block of Erin Woods Boulevard S.E. at 1:30 p.m. on July 30, assaulting a female resident.

It’s alleged a second resident intervened, prompting a physical altercation between him and the accused.

Police said at the time that both victims suffered minor injuries.

On Thursday, police announced a 30-year-old man had been charged with break-and-enter with intent to commit assault.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 29.
