A 44-year-old man has been charged after a body was found near a self storage compound in Carman, Man., earlier in the week. The investigation began around 1:15 a.m. on Monday when Mounties were called to a vehicle fire inside a self-storage compound on 2nd Street Northeast in Carman. When officers got to the scene, they found a burning vehicle and the body of a 52-year-old man. Police investigated and confirmed via autopsy that the man was killed as the result of a homicide. On Wednesday, officers arrested a 44-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman in connection to the incident. The male suspect was charged with second-degree murder and taken into custody. The female suspect was released without charges as it was determined she was not involved in the homicide. The charge has not been proven in court.
