The Calgary Fire Department says one man was rushed to hospital on Sunday after suffering burns in a small explosion and fire. It happened on the fifth floor of the Emerald Hotel and Suites on Sunridge Boulevard just after 8 p.m. The fire department says the victim suffered third-degree burns to 50 per cent of his body.
