Investigation is underway into a suspicious death after a dead woman was discovered close to Cremona, Alta. On Wednesday, the Calgary police homicide unit received a report about a dead woman who was discovered near Cremona. Police said in a release that the circumstances surrounding her death continue to be investigated. Following a Friday autopsy, the victim was identified as 21-year-old Shakira Bearspaw of Calgary. One person was taken into custody and then released. Cremona is about 78 kilometres northwest of Calgary. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234.
