More than 300 vendors are participating in the 2026 Southern Alberta Home, Garden and Leisure Show at the Lethbridge Trade and Convention Centre. The annual event features the latest in home design, equipment and leisure opportunities. “We know that southern Albertans invest a lot in their homes and invest a lot in their gardens and their recreation as well, so here is an opportunity to meet vendors in one place to capture all of that,” said Bridget Mearns, executive officers with BILD Lethbridge. The three-day show features a new lounge for exhibitors to use as a networking location with others in the industry. “We have a demonstration kitchen, so we have chefs doing live demonstrations all show long,” explained Mearns. “We have an interactive workshop, so we have gardeners talking all things garden and we have the ‘Who Builds it Best’ competition, which is our high school live-action building competition.” Medicine Hat-based HALO Air Ambulance has returned as this year’s charity sponsor. Money raised during the event’s 50/50 will help sustain HALO’s operations throughout southern Alberta. New this year is Crack the Code: Claim the Keys by Stranville Living Master Builder. Attendees will have the chance to enter a seven-digit code to win a $589,000 home. “We were thinking of something we could do that would drive traffic to the [show] and also be involved in the community and get our name more out there, and get people more involved in coming to our booth and seeing what we have to present to the community,” said Joel Spanos, with Stranville Living. More than 16,000 people are expected to take in this year’s show. The Home, Garden and Leisure Show runs from 1 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
