A 114-year-old building in Calgary’s Inglewood neighbourhood has seen its last days as work crews arrived at the site Monday to tear it down. The Gresham Block, located at 1403 Ninth Ave. S.E., was built in 1912 by John Stewart Dismorr, a developer, investor and colonial agent. The building housed a grocery store, dairy and a café. It later became an apartment building, but that closed earlier this year and it’s been vacant for the past several months.
