First Street Market temporarily shut down by AHS due to pest infestation

The First Street Market has been temporarily shut down by Alberta Health Services (AHS).

First Street Market posted on social media that it was shut down after an AHS inspection on Friday revealed a pest infestation.

It will remain closed until it can be brought up to standards of safety and cleanliness.

The market apologized to its vendors and their customers.

The downtown market houses nine locally-owned restaurants, all of which have ceased operations while the hall is shut down.
