Heat returns across southern Alberta on Tuesday as daytime highs in the extreme southeastern regions get close to 30 C in the afternoon. A chance of showers in these areas could trigger thunderstorms as well. For Calgary, it’s dry conditions paired with smoke and a high of 26 C. Smoke clears in the city early Wednesday, as temperatures dip on Thursday with a risk for storms in the afternoon. Beyond that, daytime highs rebound back into the mid to upper 20s.
