Child taken to hospital following serious incident in Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat police responded to a serious incident involving a child at Echo Dale Regional Park on Monday afternoon.

Officers arrived after getting a report about a missing child.

About an hour later, the child was found and taken to hospital by EMS.

The family of the 11-year-old has been notified, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

Police say their thoughts are with the child’s family and classmates.
