A Lethbridge man is facing charges in connection with a shooting at an Airbnb allegedly used to host a nearly week-long party. Police say a single gunshot was fired through the home’s second-floor bedroom window just after 1 a.m. on May 10. Many partygoers left the home, located along Lafayette Boulevard West, before police arrived. In a news release, police said the gunshot was “not a random crime.” “The gunshot was fired following an altercation between several males inside the home. The individuals involved in the incident are known to one another.” Police say bear spray had also been deployed. No injuries were reported. A 20-year-old man who had been in custody on unrelated matter since mid-June has since been charged with seven weapons-related offences.
