We are back in a hot, dry stretch, but this one comes with less intense heat than the last round. Expect a high of 26 C on Wednesday with lots of sunshine and good air quality. For the hot stretch this week, we should max out at 26 C each day. There is a decent chance of getting some smoke in Calgary as fires continue in British Columbia and Washington state, with most of the smoke expected to blow in late Thursday and early Friday. This will bring our air quality to the moderate level, but there is even a chance we get to a more elevated risk. The hot, dry weather pattern comes to an end on Sunday as temperatures fall significantly and brings the risk of thunderstorms. This beautiful photo tells the weather story. Summer, flowers, sunshine and smoke in the background. Thanks to Bruce Comstock for sharing.
