There were some light and scattered showers across the City of Calgary and through portions of southern Alberta overnight. More isolated showers are possible across the region on Monday, especially south and west of Calgary. The daytime highs in southern Alberta will be slightly below average on Monday and Tuesday, with moderate sustained north wind of 20 to 30 km/h in Calgary and gusts between 40 to 50 km/h. A ridge of high pressure from the Pacific basin will settle over western Canada by the middle of the week, and daytime highs in Calgary will return to the low 20s for most of the next seven days. Overnight values in Calgary will be around the freezing mark on Monday and Tuesday, before climbing back to the mid-single digits.
