Calgary police issue public warning about release of high-risk offender into community

Police posted a public information statement Friday about the release of "high-risk offender" Collin Dennis Ayorech into the community.

Calgary police issued a public information warning regarding the release of a high-risk offender Friday night.

Collin Dennis Ayorech, 45, was released into the Calgary community after serving a sentence for aggravated assault, arson with disregard for human life, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault, uttering threats and failure to comply with conditions of an undertaking/recognizance.

Ayorech also had previous convictions for aggravated assault, robbery and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Most of his crimes were committed in the Calgary area.

Police say he will be monitored by the department’s high-risk offender program.

Members of the public are advised that the CPS’s intent is to “enable members of the public to take suitable precautionary measures and not to embark on any form of vigilante action.”
