The heat continues in Calgary at least until Saturday. Wednesday comes with a high of 27 C and sunshine. It may get a little smokier as light winds coming from British Columbia, Washington and Oregon throughout the day carry wildfire smoke over southern Alberta. The lead-up to the long weekend brings sunshine and a high of 31 C by Friday in the city, with Saturday expected to be even hotter. The jet stream will sink towards southern Alberta on Sunday, which will drop the temperatures and likely bring a couple storms along with it.
