Some of the greatest comic book heroes are set to descend upon Calgary. No, not the ones sporting capes and cowls or underoos and web-shooters. We’re talking about the folks who bring those four-colour favourites to life. On Wednesday, Calgary Expo organizers announced another round of comic book creator guests for the 2026 show. Artist Greg Capullo is now among the featured guests coming to the BMO Centre to meet the fans in April. Capullo’s most recently known for his work on Deadpool/Batman and Wolverine. You might also know him for lengthy stints on Batman, Spawn or his own property, The Creech. He’ll be at the show April 24-26. He’ll join already-announced featured guests, artist-editor Joe Quesada and inker-writer Jimmy Palmiotti. Quesada is most recently known for Marvel Knights: The World to Come and Palmiotti is most recently known for The Punisher. Together, they launched Event Comics in the 1990s, and then the Knights imprint at Marvel Comics as that decade wound down. Quesada spent years as Marvel editor-in-chief, then chief creative officer. As a writer, Palmiotti has become one of the brilliant minds for getting a creative project crowdfunded. Both will be at the show April 23-26. Capullo and Quesada each have special fan experiences, available for purchase through Calgary Expo’s website. Also among 2026’s featured guests will be writer Charles Soule (Daredevil) and artist Amanda Conner (Elvira x Harley). Likewise, industry legends, artist Michael Golden, writer Don McGregor and artist Tom Grummett. There are dozens more creators coming to the 2026 show, which runs from April 23-26.
