Banff Trail drug bust sees Calgary couple charged

A Calgary couple is facing charges after $30,000 worth of cocaine and more than $38,000 in cash was seized from a Banff Trail home last month.

Police searched the home, located in the 2300 block of 25 Avenue N.W., on Jan. 22 following a three-month-long drug trafficking investigation.

In addition to 307 grams of cocaine, another 160 tablets of an unknown drug were seized, along with packaging materials and digital scales.

The accused, a 39-year-old and a 36-year-old, are facing five charges in total.
